Millie Millgate, Director of Music Australia

Millie Millgate’s love and passion for Australian music have literally made international careers for our industry. During her time at The Hoey as a booker and artist manager from the late 1990s into the 2000s, she built the room's reputation and the artists who played there with a delicate understanding of how to foster new talent while not burning a star too brightly. Since moving on, she’s worked across the industry and has recently moved from being Executive Producer for Sounds Australia to her new role as director of Music Australia.
